White River near Centerton. White River at Edwardsport. White River at Petersburg. ...Forecast flooding changed from Minor to Moderate severity and increased in duration for the following rivers in Indiana... White River at Elliston. White River at Newberry. .Rainfall amounts between two and four inches over parts of central and southern Indiana have led to rises and some flooding on area rivers. Additional rainfall of one to three inches this evening into Thursday morning, with locally higher amounts possible, will bring widespread minor river flooding with pockets of moderate flooding to much of the East Fork White and lower White River basins. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...White River at Petersburg. * WHEN...From late Thursday night until further notice. * IMPACTS...At 23.5 feet, Water from the Great June 2008 Flood recedes from SR 257 south of Washington. The river stage at Shoals was less than 10 feet and less than 14 feet previous day. The Lost River was low...except for backwater from the East Fork White...during this entire flood event. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 11:45 AM EST Wednesday /10:45 AM CST Wednesday/ the stage was 5.9 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage early Friday morning and continue rising to a crest of 23.4 feet Wednesday, March 11. - Flood stage is 16.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

A contrail is an artificial cloud, created by the passing of an
aircraft.
Contrails form because water vapor in the exhaust of aircraft engines is suspended
in the air under certain temperatures and humidity conditions. These contrails
are called exhaust contrails.
Another type of contrail can form due to a temporary reduction in air pressure
moving over the plane's surface, causing condensation.
These are called aerodynamic contrails.
When you can see your breath on a cold day, it is also because of condensation.
The reason contrails last longer than the condensation from your breath is
because the water in contrails freezes into ice particles.
